Scary Day

Well, we are almost a week past the scariest day we have had in our family. Last week on Thursday night, my husband was hit by a drunk driver on his way home from work. He was coming home late from work (around 11pm) and stopped at a stoplight. The driver never hit the breaks and hit him in the rear-end without even breaking. She then proceeded to back up and drive off, leaving half of her radiator at the scene of the crime. Fortunately, my husband was not seriously hurt but was taken to the emergency room to be checked out. They found the driver at her home. Her car was in the parking lot with the horn going off, air bags deployed and engine steaming.

The accident happened close to his work, so I found a friend to drop the girls off at late at night and then drove the 30 miles to pick him up at the ER. Talk about a long day. One up side is that while the car was totaled, he was driving his employer's car so that is one less headache we have to deal with. We are still dealing with insurance, paperwork and of course darling hubby is sore. I am hoping we can put this behind us soon.

Welcome

I have blogged in the past, and like so many blogs, it has been abandoned. I feel guilty. I let one of my children die. Well a few years have passed, I am not in a new part of my life and ready to try again.
This is to be a place to talk about what is going on in my life. I am incredibly average, so I think some of you may be able to relate. I am a mom of two. Married to a man I love. I work as a HR Manager and deal with the daily "rat race". I have fights with my husband, fights with my kids, I argue with my boss, I argue with other managers at work, I laugh, I have friends, I love my family (although they make me scream). I love my job, I hate my job. If you can't find a single one of these things that you relate with you might as well just move on. But if you do agree or even smile sit back and enjoy the ride.
